From a tiny scrap of soft leather, the cobbler made a pair of shoes, "fit for a fairy." One night the shoes disappeared but a gold piece appeared in their place. "The Cobbler's Shop" and other tales of fancy in which carved sheep can cure the prince's fever, Christmas Eve draws fairies to the hearth and angels appear on the English country hills. Pasteup dummy, with holograph preliminary pages; pencil illustrations and illustrator's proofs laid in.
